Red Letter Hymnal started out as the worship band for Christ Church at Grove Farm in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. After several years leading Sunday morning worship the guys decided to start a band calling themselves Red Letter Hymnal and adopting an electronic music style. One of the band's first shows was opening for Lecrae which kickstarted the band's journey playing outside the walls of Christ Church.
