Tiffany Hudson grew up in the church as a Pastor’s kid, always knowing she wanted to be in ministry. “I felt God draw my heart to Him and I began to fall in love with His presence,” Tiffany shares. “I didn’t know what it would look like or how God would use me, I just knew I was meant to serve His church.” It was also at her parent's church where she started honing in on her worship-leading skills, learning to play multiple instruments and write songs.
Today, Tiffany is an award-winning songwriter (“Graves Into Gardens,” “Wait On You,” “Never Lost,” among others), a member of the GRAMMY Award-winning group Elevation Worship, and a worship leader at Elevation Church.
She has also been honored to be part of the numerous accolades Elevation Worship has received: RIAA Gold® certification status for their song “Graves Into Gardens,” a GRAMMY Award® in 2022 for their collaborative album with Maverick City Music Old Church Basement, two Billboard Music Awards® (in 2021 as Top Christian Artist and Top Christian Song “Graves Into Gardens”). Along with
two GMA Dove Awards® in 2021 (Top Worship Recorded Song, “Graves Into Gardens;” Top Worship Album, Old Church Basement), she has also received additional GMA Dove Award nominations with the group.
While it’s a gift to see Elevation Worship’s music reach such a status, her heart is to see the church shine with purity and ready the bride for Jesus’ return. Still, she never had a dream to record a solo project until she felt an invitation from the Lord in early 2022.
Tiffany will release her solo debut album, Hidden Here, on Elevation Worship Records which features a variety of styles that have individual worship focus as opposed to the corporate worship style Elevation Worship delivers.
She shares, “After a season of what felt like a creative drought, I began to sit down at my piano and felt the Lord begin to download songs and themes that felt very important to Him. This began a journey of sitting with Him, writing, co-writing, and desiring to present the things He placed in my heart. I pray that these different themes and sonic treatments would ultimately lead the listener to the
true treasure at the end of all this--Jesus.”
The first single and title track draws on poppy musical elements as well as inspiration from the scripture from Psalms 91 encouraging us to remain hidden in Christ.
“‘Hidden Here" deals with the tension we face in desiring to be seen and known by others. I often think of the secret place when referring to hiddenness. The time with God that no one else sees is often the most sacred and holy. There is such a priceless value to me to be hidden in Him. I pray it encourages others to remain hidden in the shadow of the almighty and find their true reward in Him. We don't find our reward in external things like opportunity or acknowledgment, but we find, in the hidden place, that Jesus himself is our reward.”
Influenced by other leaders and writers such as Steffany Gretzinger, Kari Jobe, and Kim Walker-Smith, any time Tiffany gets the opportunity to write is, as she explains, “it’s a humbling experience to try and pen God’s wonder. It’s a weight and a responsibility to put confessions in other people’s mouth’s to say to God.”
Hidden Here features special guest appearances from worship leader Steffany Gretzinger on the song “Break The Bottle,” which they co-wrote together. Mitch Wong and Joe L Barnes lend their voices to the song “Togetherness,” which they co-wrote two years ago about a cry for unity in an often divided culture. Other co-writers on the project included Amanda Cook, Jason Ingram, and Josh Holiday. The project is produced by Josh Holiday, Bubele Booi, and Jason Ingram.
